2. Core principle: Your data stays with you
YourValidator is designed as a zero-knowledge application. The tool runs entirely in your browser. All inputs, calculations, strategy plans, backups and export files remain exclusively on your device and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
We do not process usage data, analytics data or behavioral data. No cookies are used for tracking or analytics purposes.
3. Data collected and purposes of processing
3.1 Server log files (technically necessary)
When you visit our websites, our hosting provider Strato AG automatically stores the following technically necessary data in server log files:
- IP address of the requesting device (anonymized after 7 days)
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the file accessed
- Amount of data transferred
- Browser type and operating system
- HTTP status code
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the security and stability of operations). This data is not merged with other data sources and is not used for marketing purposes.
3.2 Contact form and email
When you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you submit (name, email address, message content) exclusively to handle your enquiry.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Data is deleted after the enquiry has been fully resolved, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Emails are processed via our central mail server (info@yourvalidator.net). Hosting: Strato AG, Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany.
3.3 License keys and purchase processing
Payment processing for Pro licences is handled entirely by a German payment provider Details are stored when the Pro version is made available This party assumes full responsibility for the processing of your payment details, invoicing and tax compliance. YourValidator does not receive or process your payment details (credit card numbers, bank details) at any time.

Once the purchase has been successfully completed, it will send only the data required for key generation (email address, product ID, subscription ID) to you and our licence server. The generated licence key will be sent to you once via email and will not be stored permanently thereafter.

3.4 AI prompt function (optional, Pro feature)
The AI prompt function is an optional Pro feature. It requires your own API key from one of the supported providers (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google Gemini).
Important: When you use the AI prompt function, your free-text inputs are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you have chosen. YourValidator is not involved in this transmission and has no knowledge of the content of your prompts.
- Your API key is stored exclusively in your browser (localStorage) and does not leave your device in the direction of our servers.
- The processing of your inputs by the AI provider is subject to that provider's privacy policy.
- The use of the AI function is entirely optional. The tool provides identical calculation functionality without it.

3.5 .org – Educational offering (yourvalidator.org)
Access to the educational version (yourvalidator.org) requires manual registration with an institutional email address. The data submitted (name, institution, email) is used exclusively for access verification and account activation and is not used for marketing purposes.

Our websites are hosted by:

5. No cookies, no tracking
YourValidator uses no tracking cookies, no analytics tools (Google Analytics, Matomo etc.), no social media pixels and no remarketing technologies.
Technically necessary browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) is used exclusively locally on your device for the functioning of the tool (input storage, license key, strategy plans). This data does not leave your device.

7. Data security
Our websites are delivered exclusively via HTTPS. The server is configured with security headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options).
Backups created in the tool can optionally be encrypted with AES-256. The encryption key lies exclusively with you – we have no access.
8. Data processors
We use the following data processors:

AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) do not act as our data processors – the data transmission occurs directly between your browser and the respective provider on the basis of your own API key and your own contractual relationship with that provider.
